Second look at haze

2. In a slightly darker room, turn on a fluorescent lamp, remove the PE protective film from the upper and lower release films, and hold it between your eyes and the light with your hand. Carefully see if there is a layer of mist in the PE protective film. Uniform distribution inside, that is the culprit that affects the haze. The more serious this kind of haze is, the larger the haze is, the worse the material is, and the better it is; otherwise, the haze will affect the transmittance rate, but Transmission is two different concepts!)

 

Third look at static electricity

Since the liquid crystal display is sensitive to static electricity, the static electricity should be as small as possible when the protective film is applied. The test method is to prepare the PE protective film (3 layers or 2 layers) to be tested, and smoke a cigarette and light some soot on the table. Or, put a little paper scraps on the table, and then peel off the top protective film of PE protective film (this step is required for 3 layers), and then peel off the protective film of silicone layer and peel off this layer of PE. When using the protective film, immediately use the layer (silicone surface) near the soot or paper scraps to see if the protective film will adsorb these things to the silicone layer of the protective film and whether the degree of adsorption is strong. The stronger it is, the higher the static electricity generated by this material is, the worse the material is, the better it is.

 

Fourth look at scratch resistance

1. Whether the PE protective film is scratch-resistant or scratch-resistant is the issue that everyone is most concerned about at present. The scratch-resistant materials on the market are basically the same (2-3H) and the performance is also good. There are only scratch-resistant and non-scratch-resistant. The test method is to use a pencil with a hardness of 3H and push it away on the PE protective film 10 times at a 45 degree angle and 500G. If there is no scratch, it is considered that it can reach the 3H hardness requirement.

2. There is also a simple method, which is to use a slightly hard metal device or newly cut nails to scratch on the PE protective film with the strength of the usual stylus. If it is very easy to scratch, it is deemed to be non-scratch-resistant and scratch-free. It can be determined that it has anti-scratch function.
