How to distinguish viscosities of various protective film

Mar 03, 2020

At present, there is no such international standard. It is set by each enterprise. It is worthy of reference to distinguish it as slightly sticky, low sticky, medium sticky, and high sticky. Generally, it is slightly sticky at 0.02 ~ 0.1N and low sticky 0.1 ~ 1N , Medium viscosity 1 ~ 2N, high viscosity 2 ~ 6N, but this is not always necessary, it depends on the needs of various manufacturers.

The basic principle for selecting the viscosity of the protective film is that the viscosity is appropriate. Different surfaces require different viscosities. Depending on the surface and pressure, the rate of rise of the viscosities varies. Generally, the protective film should be peeled after being left for a sufficient time to determine whether the viscosity is appropriate. The protective film uses rubber and acrylic protective films with different effects. Rubber is softer and acrylic is harder. Generally, rubber-type protective film is considered first, then acrylic-type protective film. For a given surface, choosing the right glue and viscosity is extremely important, and subsequent processing steps are the key to determining the viscosity. Subsequent processing usually involves bending and stamping.

The protective film has a smooth surface with a low-viscosity protective film with a viscosity of 0.9 N / cm. A medium-tough protective film is used for the medium rough surface, and the viscosity is 1.2N / cm.

The protective film has a very rough surface and a high-viscosity protective film is used. The viscosity is 1.5N / cm.
