Similarities and differences between polyethylene plastic rolls and polypropylene films

Apr 20, 2019

Polyethylene plastic rolls and polypropylene films are films that are firstly processed and then extruded and blown. In fact, they can be used for packaging food and daily necessities, but they are different according to their own nature.

Generally, polyethylene plastic rolls have excellent low-temperature resistance, so in food packaging, frozen foods and fresh foods are often packaged. The polypropylene film has high heat resistance, so the polypropylene film blown CPP film can often be used to make retort pouches and other sterilizable and sterilizable packaging.

In general, polyethylene plastic rolls have better transparency than vinyl films, so most high-end clothing packaging and fine food packaging use polypropylene film. Most of the shopping bags on the market are made of polyethylene plastic rolls because of their superior toughness compared to polypropylene films and their low cost of manufacture.

At this stage, the commonly used polyethylene plastic rolls are LDPE, low-pressure polyethylene film, which has low cost and good moisture resistance, chemical stability and heat-sealing property, and often requires less demanding food packaging products. However, polypropylene film and polyethylene plastic roll have poor printability, and surface treatment is required to improve printing adaptability. Therefore, polypropylene and polyethylene plastic rolls have the same difference.
