Types of flexible plastic films and their application effects

Apr 05, 2019

Commonly used flexible plastic films are mainly high density polyethylene, low density polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, chlorinated polyethylene, chlorosulfonated polyethylene, plasticized polyolefin, ethylene-propylene rubber, neoprene, butylene rubber, thermoplastic Synthetic rubber, chlorohydrin rubber.

Such flexible plastic films generally have very low permeability and have a permeability coefficient of up to 10 cm/s. Among them, high-density polyethylene has a permeability coefficient of 10cm/s or even lower, and is the most widely used landfill anti-seepage flexible film material.

After being applied in the anti-seepage channel, the flexible plastic film can not only reduce the leakage loss of water, improve the water delivery capacity of the channel, shorten the water delivery time, but also play the role of anti-shock, silt reduction, anti-collapse, stable channel bed, and guarantee. The role of water transportation safety and the improvement of the modernization level of irrigation districts.

At present, flexible plastic films are generally plastic films or geomembranes, which are waterproof and water-repellent under normal temperature conditions. The flexible membrane laying under the concrete slab is effective in reducing the leakage of the channel and improving the effective utilization coefficient of the canal water in a short period of time, and has some indirect and minor effects on the anti-frost.
